With the Battlefield Bike Ride 2022 (BBR22) – 100 Days to Victory, just over one month away, I really excited to share some special news. Wounded Warriors Day at Oyama Zipline and Adventure Park has just just secured a new sponsor. Welcome to the Canadian Blood Services, Kelowna Plasma Centre (CBS Kelowna)!
Win Passes to Oyama Zipline
Through a collaboration between Oyama Ziplines and CBS Kelowna, you could win passes to the park. For the entire month of May 2022, just go down to the CBS Kelowna clinic (on the Springfield Rd side of the Orchard Plaza mall) and roll up your sleeve to donate plasma and you will be eligible for a draw for passes to the park. Please remember to go to http://www.blood.ca, or click on the CBS logo above to book an appointment.
Come up for a Fun Day!
As a reminder, Jenn and Peter Madsen of Oyama Zipline and Adventure Park will be hosting Wounded Warriors Day on 28 May 2022, with ALL of the revenues received from activities in the park that day and all proceeds from concessions donated to support the work that Wounded Warriors Canada does for our veterans and first responders who develop mental disorders as a result of the work that they do to serve and protect us. Not only that, Jenn and Peter have confirmed that there will be a special 25% discount for all passes for the day!
Mark your calendar:
28 May 2022
This will be an opportunity for you to enjoy the ziplines, the adventure park and the Little Monkey Park, a kids’ adventure park. For all the details for Wounded Warriors Day and to purchase you passes in advance for the day, go to www.OyamaZipline.com.
But, the fun doesn’t stop there. There will be 50/50 draws, some raffles and to keep your energy levels up there will be food concessions. In the morning, there will be coffee (provided by Starbucks) and donuts and at lunch hamburgers and hotdogs barbecued by our own Lake Country fire fighters and paramedics. Christine Turpin and Creative Works will be there for face painting and Leif Scott with Sun Valley Cycle Repair will be set up to do maintenance, minor repairs and tune ups for your bike. Christine’s work is unbelievable – kids of all ages will have fun with this. And for anyone who knows me and knows how picky I can be – Leif is the only one to do maintenance and repairs on my bikes. So bring your bikes up for a tuneup or some minor repairs while you enjoy the events at the park.
Please check back here (and if you haven’t already subscribed to the blog – please subscribe) or go to the Oyama Zipline website for more details about Wounded Warriors Day.
See you at Wounded Warriors Day
